Air filter

When it comes to cars they are becoming harder and harder to work on because of technology but also because manufacturers are making things harder to get to a parts with special tools and this make jobs hard to do.
One of the first things to learn to do is to check and change the air filter on the car. The first thing is to remember is with this job there is not really any tools that you will need to complete this task, if anything a flat headed screwdriver. The first thing is pop the HUD which is the lever that is under the steering wheel in the car or by the lover part of the door near the gas peddles. the when you put the hood up look to see if you have a self holding hood or a prop hood the prop the hood up. when done with this looking for the air filter cover is a little difficult. there is a round tube that runs from the center of the hood to the left or right side of the motor compartment and it will be a rectangular box with clips on it to hold it close. You want to pop the clips off with your fingers or the screwdriver. once this is done them reach in and remove the filter it usually has and Orange foam peace around it. when you remove it then look at it it will be like folded pieces of paper and if they are black then you will have to get a new one but if it is just a little dark then you will want to smack it on the ground to clean it a little but they you will place it back in and work your way backward from the way you started.... Its important that you leave the car off during this time..... That's how you change your Air filter.
